Tackling health inequalities
Health Lottery Yorkshire and Humber exists to tackle health inequalities across its region. It raises money to help reduce health inequalities across its region. It does this by running a society lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust, to develop local interventions.
We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invests these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.
This grant making trust funds local people who have great ideas about how they can make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

Shabang Inclusive Learning were awarded £28,404 for a two-year project to deliver weekly multi-sensory musical and creative sessions for children with learning disabilities and/or autism in Kirklees.
The organisation is led by parents with children with disabilities and they, supported by volunteers from participating families and other young adults with learning disabilities, will deliver the project. Benefiting 60 people, the project will bring families together in a relaxed and supportive environment, providing them with knowledge and enabling them to form friendships with others in the same situation; it will also improve the children’s learning development and potential and ensure a healthy and happy start to family life.
